Alternative readings

This book was much of a dissappoinment. I'd rather read the following books on war instead of Neiberg's work: a) "War in human civilization" by Azar Gat; b) "War before Civilization. The Myth of the Peaceful Savage", by Lawrence Keeley; c) "How War Began" by Keith F. Otterbein; d) "War and Peace and War: The Rise and Fall of Empires" by Peter Turchin; and e) "War and the Law of Nations: A General History" by Stephen Neff.

Everybody riding on a "World History" frenzy?

I agree with the view of César González. I'm left to wonder if everyone is keen to get on the "world history" bandwagon such that whatever is written before is just tagged with something associating with "world history" and re-hashed to appear as another book on the market?
