A wonderful book with delightful humor

I found this to be a totally delightful read. One of humor, heartbreak, learning and just plan needing not only oneself but of learning it is okay to love and need someone else. I thought this was a very touching story with so much love, wanting and learning that it just about breaks your heart. Two people who come together as sex buddies learn they found so much more. Issues must be over come along with learning to trust for there are secrets that have never seen the light of day. So much pain so much to forgive. Can these two overcome not only the past but the present to teach them what they need the most is each other and the love they have made or will all their issues get in the way of finding true happiness? Will their child have both parent or will he be raised in a split home?
So much goes on in the story, a few twists and turns and then to find out there is a child on the way. Neither really knows the other very well, will they find they have enough to build a relationship on or will they find all they have together is great sex? Liliana and Adam are not looking for anything long term or lasting. They have both agreed to only see each other, meet every now and then, have a little sex and go on their way. It is a long distance relationship that has worked for a year. Then Liliana gets pregnant and things change, when she does tell Adam he demand..yes that is right the alph caveman come out and he demands she marries him. Liliana doesn’t do so well with demands and more or less tells him to stick it where the sun doesn’t shine lol. Then you add 3 protective alpha brothers to mix, along with an ex who wants her back and you have one hot mess. You have alpha males going in circles showing their caveman style circling their prey which just happens to be Liliana and she just isn’t having known of it.
Jolie has pulled off one heck of a read that will keep you guessing to the ending. She plays men again men leaving women hold their heads saying “say it ain’t so” Boys will be boys and these boys are playing a fighting game of tug a war with Liliana as the prize. Liliana isn’t too happy with any of them, she can make up her own mind and won’t stand for interfering brothers or demanding males.
This book is very easy to follow, it is a page turner you just have to find out how it will end. Will Adam win the girl over or will Liliana just say the hell with it and walk away? The author had me chuckling almost from the start and kept me smiling and laughing through the whole book, at the same time her find your heart is breaking for each character. I do hope Claire and Forrest get their own book. There are wonderful characters you can relate to who have their own tug of war going on. The author leaves you wanting more, there is no cliffhanger you just want to know more of what is to happen in this outstanding read.

Can a relationship ever really be no-strings?

Need You Now is a touching story, full of emotional highs and lows. After being thrown over by her ex, Lily isn't looking for anything serious. Adam offers her the physical commitment she needs, but not the emotional entanglements of a relationship. A smoking hot guy and crazy hot no-strings sex? Lily sure wasn't about to turn that down. But can friends with benefits work if there's no friendship to start with?
Particularly with an unplanned pregnancy thrown in the mix?
I LOVE that Lily is a strong woman. She doesn't hesitate to put Adam or her brothers in their place. Without such a strong heroine, this story wouldn't have been so successful. The chemistry between the two romantic leads is strong, but their romance does feel a bit rushed at times. They were 'buddies' for a year, but managed to learn almost nothing about each other... That seemed unlikely to me. But overall, Need You Now was a very enjoyable read.
Now I need to go get The Scale so I can read Jason and Minka's story. I'm looking forward to more from this author... Perhaps Forrest and Claire's story? Hint hint, Mika!

Need You Now by Mika Jolie is the second in the Martha's Way Series. Lily comes from a big family and has three older brothers, who love and want to protect her. Lily had her heart broken a year ago and now she doesn't think she will ever find true love. When she meets Adam she knows this will be a "friends with benefits" relationship. She does not want to disappoint her parents or her brothers so she keeps this relationship a secret. Lily finds out a secret and now thinks its best if she and Adam no longer see each other. They both want different things in life. But Lily wants is not what she thinks she needs. Adam is out to prove he is the man for her. These two go on a journey that will make you laugh and cry. I would recommend this book.
